Julia's Time Machine

Five days after landing in New York, we noticed tourists filing past landmarks without ever learning what happened there. Julia's Time Machine turns any location into a living museum: snap a panorama on your phone and the app rebuilds your surroundings in any era from the 1600s to the 2000s, pulling building records from Wikipedia and NYC PLUTO data, generating period-accurate scenes with Gemini, and narrating the heritage with an ElevenLabs voice guide in a 360° viewer. We tested and filmed it in Times Square in the middle of a nor'easter and stayed up till 5am to ship it — then took the overall title against teams from MIT, Columbia and NYU.
